San Diego's abandoned and neglected children desperately need you. Barely 15% of our annual budget comes from governments funding, and while we aggressively solicit grants from corporations and foundation, most of our budget is fulfilled by San Diegan individuals-like you!
It costs $2,500 to provide one child with a CASA for one year. Our target for 2011-12 is to serve 1,450 foster children and these goals will increase over the next few years as we pursue our growth plan to Serve Every Child.
We've described several options for giving below, including online credit card donations, matching gifts from employers, IRA or stock distributions, Facebook Causes, to donated cars. Shop our Starfish store where profits cycle to the CASA program and suggest these meaningful gifts for corporate mementos to loyal employees or clients. Give in honor of birthdays or holidays. Include us in your will. Recommend Voices for Children to your Rotary or Kiwanis group, perhaps having one of our speakers present at the meeting. Donate items from our wish list. There are many, many ways you can make a difference.
Your donation, at whatever level, ensures that foster children who have become dependents of the San Diego County Court will have the caring, focused attention of a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate, CASA, looking out for them during their time in foster care.
Voices for Children is a nonprofit 501(c)3 corporation. Our tax identification number is 95-3786047. View our Better Giving profile or our last annual report to learn more about how we invest your donations.
