Volunteers
The Heart and Soul of Voices for Children
Volunteers are our lifeblood. There are many more children in the foster care system than we have volunteers to help them. You'll find that being a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is a gratifying experience that touches not only the life of a child, but yours as well. Volunteer with children now.

How else can I help?
Here are your next steps toward becoming a child advocate:
1. Call and reserve a space in an upcoming information session. All volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Complete the volunteer application, including the one-page personal biography, and send it in by the next information session or bring it with you. (The application is in PDF format). You may also download a MS Word version of the application if you would like to fill it out by computer and email it to info@voices4children.com
If you do not have a copy of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you may download it using.
3. Attend the information session.
4. Schedule a personal interview. It takes about an hour and interviews are scheduled Monday Friday between 7:30AM and 6:00PM.
5. Participate in specialized training depending on the volunteer position.
I am the voice of
a child in court.
I protect her, because through
no fault of her own,
children like her
were often
brutalized,
sometimes very
early on in their
lives. I think about
how that child is
growing up in an
entirely different
set of
circumstances
than what she
knew - happier
circumstances,
healthier
circumstances -
and I find peace
knowing I made
a difference. -
